Snow Patrol in Concert

Posted by socalrunnergirl on October 14, 2009

Last night Christina and I went to the Snow Patrol Concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland.  We had orchestra level seats row B just off the center.  There's something special about seeing a band that up close and personal.  It was an awesome that was opened by The Plain White Tees (most famous for Hey There Delilah).  Snow Patrol certainly did not disappoint and lead singer Gary Lightbody had a bit of scare during Open Your Eyes when he jumped up on a speaker and almost fell off – he went stumbling toward the edge of the stage before managing to recover and running around high-fiving people in the auditorium.  The Plain White Tees went on just after 8 and I'm not sure what time Snow Patrol started but they finished their 4 song encore around 11PM.  A few pics from my cell phone follow.

Wow that’s awesome. I’m digging your blog. (This is my first time here, connected from milesfromabbie’s site.)
I’m actually traveling with my husband next week to check out Portland. (PSU ph.d program for him.)
Any must-see places in Portland? I think we’re going to try to hit up the Doug Fir Lounge to see Blitzen Trapper. :)
