My adventures continues

Posted by socalrunnergirl on February 15, 2007

My hair is straighter again.  Apparently you can find a flat iron in Thailand and the place is at an electronics store.  I haggled them down from $55 to just under 50.  You can bargain for just about everything here.

An interesting observation while perusing the drug store was that there all the hair dyes were darker colors.  Apparently going blonde in Thailand is not all that common.  Also, there are lots of whitening type creams here.  Funny that we have the darkening ones and they have the lightening ones.  Is no one happy with the color of their skin?

Food here is awesome.  Hard to beat a nice chicken curry  with rice and a tea for $4.  Mmmm yummy…  The people are all very nice too.  Thailand really is the land of many smiles!

I didn’t bring any running stuff with me but I did see a mountain that looked  very tempting.  However, who knows what may be lurking in those hills human or otherwise.  Plus my foot is acting up again.  I may not run again until I see my foot doc again mid March.  Until then,

Happy Running,
Jessica

Can you order a Tai Ice Tea or is it opposite? USA Ice Tea? Good to hear you’re not having a bad hair day.
