My Chinese New Year

Posted by socalrunnergirl on February 22, 2007

In Thailand not suprising there are a lot of Chinese.  In fact, they may even be as many Chinese as their are in Irvine (okay inside Orange County joke).  There were celebrations and fireworks everywhere on Chinese New Year.  I heard fireworks all around all day long.  Just yesterday a few days after Chinese New Year I snapped this picture of a parade randomly going through the streets.

Sounds like you had a great vacation and fun along the way. Get the foot better!!!
As for scenic 50k’s in Oregon… S.O.B. (Syskiyou Out and Back) in Ashland, Oregon is the most scenic of all the 50k’s. (Waldo is a great course too, 100k though)
At about mile 9 or so if you have a sunny day you can look over your left shoulder and see Mt. Shasta in it’s full glory!
Just an awesome course only 12 miles or so from the California boarder. Turn off for the ski resort is at mile 6 I believe.
Tons camp in the parking lot the night before. But plenty of lodging in Ashland too.

If you click on my piture link on the top left of my blog there is a link to all my trail running pictures. SOB is towards the bottom on the first page. The pictures don’t do the course justice though.
    Get the foot better again!!!!
    I love your blog!
