The Death of Blogging

Posted by socalrunnergirl on February 1, 2010

Well not really.. but I do feel like with Twitter, Facebook, etc that my blogging has suffered.  Ahhh.. Poor blog :(  I’ve been busy with Twin Peaks and traveling and in just over a week I’ll be heading down to SoCal for a nice week of hopefully sunshine!  Crazy rainy winter…  Most of my plans for Twin Peaks are set now so my fury of business over the past few weeks related to that has lulled a bit giving me a little breathing room before the crazy race week!  The race is sold out.  Volunteers are in place.  I’m anxiously watching the 15 day weather forecasts only to see they change from day to day and no on really knows the weather that far out anyway.  I’m hoping for not too much rain between now and then so we can have vehicles on Indian Truck Trail (lots of extra driving time if everyone has to go around through Blue Jay).  Hopefully race day is pleasant – or at least not dumping buckets of rain.

My running has been consistent, though not up to my expectations.  I have been running very consistent 3 day and 14-16 mile weeks over the past 6 weeks or so.  I have that base – now time to step up my marathon training in February!  Still planning on the Peterson Ridge Rumble 30K in early April and the Ave of Giant Marathon in early May.

Happy Running & Dirty Feet,
Jessica
