My 20

Posted by socalrunnergirl on September 9, 2007

So yesterday my beach run was pretty horrible.  I was tired from the previous two nights of no good sleep.

Anyway.. that leads me to this morning.  I decided to run instead of bike.  I’ll take tomorrow off from running.  This week has gone so well.  So well in fact that I hit 20 miles for the first time in 4 months!!  All it took was a short 3 mile run today on my "Private" trail loop.  Okay so it’s not all mine but it feels like it on most days.  Some mountain bikers and a hiker had the nerve to invade my space though today ;)   Good for them.  It was a gorgeous morning and I had an awesome run.  In fact – it’s the first time this entire year that I ran that loop without stopping once.  Now that is an accomplishment!

I don’t plan on increasing my weekly mileage much if at all next week.  I plan to stay in the 20-22ish range for a couple weeks to make sure things are still in order with my foot.

Happy Running & Dirty Feet,
Jessica

Great job on 20 miles this week! I’m so glad that you are feeling good and building a good base back up again. I think staying around 20-22 is smart.

Congrats Jessica! Sounds like you are on your comeback, but taking the build-up slow and smart!

Nice run! I love it when I run any amount of miles without stopping :) Congrats on the 20 miles/week benchmark, that’s huge. I’d agree with staying at that level for a while and getting 100% comfortable w/ that. Great job! :)

Congrats on the 20 mile week. I know the feeling of the private trail. So often I have Bonelli to myself, I do think of it as my own.
