Our weekend started off with joining about 500 other people in downtown Portland who were taking part in the national protest of Prop 8. An estimated 1 Million people participated in 300 cities around the country.
Sunday I didn’t get to run in the Gorge for a few reasons… But we did manage a hike in the Gorge at Beacon Rock. We also made a brief stop at the Pacific Crest Trailhead on the Washington side of the Columbia River. The hike up Beacon Rock was gorgeous. It was a beautiful sunny 60 degree day with nearly 360 views. We stopped just short of the top when Tobey wouldn’t go across a bridge. Afraid of heights? Don’t know… But we went back down then.
