Short Story

I’m tired.  Is it the weather?  Is it my lack of recent exercise?  Was it the beer drinking and basketball watching night?

This morning I pulled up to work and blindly reached into the car cubby where I usually keep my access badge.  I grabbed it and shortly thereafter, got out of the car.  I walked up to the door and blindly swiped my card as I do almost every morning and it didn’t beep.  Oh no!  Did I not swipe out? (if you don’t swipe out – you can’t swipe in).  I finally looked down at my “badge” which happened to be a Burgerville reward card.

I need to go back to bed.
