Sometimes discharge is good – that is when you are talking about Physical Therapy. My PT said she was hoping to discharge me today but I’m not quite ready it seems. She did some measurements and put me through some news tests. Some of the jumping stuff was causing a bit of MCL pain. Had there been no pain there – she would have discharged me since the other stuff is all good. I need to work on some drills, including some light jumping stuff until I see her again in 2 weeks. My knee flexion is looking real good but still not quite where it should be. I tweaked something near the calf muscle insertion point just below the knee. I did this about 6 weeks ago somehow and it’s still preventing full flexion. I AM at 140 degrees. My last measurement was 130 and before surgery 6 weeks ago it was 120. My non injured knee is around 150, so while my knee flexion is considered “normal”, it’s not quite normal for me yet. So close!
Not much else to report. I’m running 3 days a week, slowing ramping up miles, and starting to bike outside – just in time for crappy weather to blanket Portland for the next 9 months. If all goes well, perhaps I won’t be here to “experience” all that
Happy Running & Dirty Feet,
Jessica
