Make the Most of it?

Yes, I’m trying. I’m not a complainer – really. Ask anyone who knows me well. But I DO complain about the weather. Mainly the weather here in Portland. Anyone who doesn’t complain about the weather here is either lying to themselves, from Siberia, blind, or allergic to the sun. You wait through 9 months of rain and clouds to have the “great” summer weather we are supposed to have here in StumpTown. And you know what? I did a little checking since I’ve been feeling gloomier lately (also things rarely get me down but weather seems to be able to).

Over the last 40 days, since beginning of July we have had only 11 days FREE of clouds. Meaning mainly/mostly sunny days. 11 more days of all clouds and the other 18 with a mix that ranges for mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. Throw in the fact that we’ve only had 19 days (less than 50%) hit 80 degrees and it’s been cool and gloomy. Remind me why people love it here again? Oh yeah – it’s green. Yeah that’s it! Let me tell you – green SUCKS when it comes to cool and gray weather.
