Had a wonderful day at the lake yesterday (Hagg Lake). Christina and I were there along with Liz, Lacey, Chelsea, Chris & Amanda. We spent about 6 hours there just hanging out, having a picnic, playing with Tobey in the lake, playing Phase Ten, cracking jokes at each others’ expense, playing Frisbee, etc. Yes I even got out to play some Frisbee but I didn’t run to catch any errant throws. I did call it quits after I took a rough step on the rough ground and almost went tumbling down. Don’t want to injure myself at this point in recovery!
Took a day off from the gym yesterday but back to the weights and bike. I’m still working on my knee stretching and still seem to be (frustratingly) stuck around 120 degrees. I think my knee IS getting much easier to move in the 0-100 range and better in the 100-120 range as well though still a bit stiff there. Part of the problem with getting past 120 seems more related to other stuff besides my knee. I actually get quite a bit of pain below my knee on the backside toward the outer edge which is probably more related to something I did to my calf. My calf is otherwise not really sore so it’s kinda strange. I’ll just keep plugging away – my doctor seems confident I’ll get my full range back eventually. And if things keep going well I’m still hoping to start some light “jogging” in about 3 more weeks…
Happy Running & Dirty Feet,
Jessca
