I think many people are coming to the same realization, if only because they no longer have as much choice. I know I've been forced to live a lot more simply and have not been this happy in many, many years.

I'm actually reading a book called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin (@gretchenrubin). You should check it out, you might be interested in reading it!

Great perspective and I tend to agree with you/it.

I completely agree with this. It's often when we think we need more that we become dissatisfied with what we do have, and we fail to appreciate what we already have as well.

I would also add that many people today think of self-opposed limits as a bad thing, as if we aren't "experiencing life to the fullest" when we put up boundaries, when really those boundaries are what allows us to live freely because we aren't constantly wondering if we should be doing this or that.
